Microdermabrasion (Diamond Peel) is a dermatological technique that helps to smooth rough skin and stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin in the deepest reticular layer of the skin. This treatment also has a firming effect due to the strengthening of the connective tissue between the skin's four layers. This is achieved by applying light suction with the combined use of laser-cut diamond tips to provide gentle exfoliation to the skin's surface. A glycolic acid treatment consists of applying a professional-strength alpha hydroxy acid to the skin, which is left on for no longer than eight minutes, and then neutralized with our cleansing lotion. Our full chemical peel is the process of applying 7 layers of a stable chemical peel solution. This process kills off the entire top layer (stratum corneum) of the skin, which can have up to 48 layers in itself. This layer consists of nothing but dead, dying, and dehydrated skin cells, making fine lines, acne scarring, discoloration, and other imperfections much more noticeable. Over the course of 7 days, the top layer will dry out, tighten, and darken, and then gradually peel away, leaving you with a fresh, new, healthy layer of skin. A consultation is REQUIRED before any permanent cosmetics applications. During the consultation, you will receive a patch test done either on the back of the neck or behind the ear, concealed within the hairline, so it is not noticeable. The patch test is required to determine if you will have any adverse reaction to the pigment used.
